Setup, step by step
Install and open the app
Open the downloaded
Zero-Hour.dmgand drag Zero-Hour into Applications. Open it from Applications (not from the disk image). If macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet, click Open.Let the system check run
On first launch the app checks Claude Code and installs its video tools. This takes a few minutes and needs nothing from you. Keep the Mac awake and online.
Sign in with this email
In the app, on the License step, enter . We email you a code; type it in and this Mac is activated. No internet? Paste the license key above instead.
Give macOS permissions
macOS asks once for each. If you clicked Don't Allow, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and switch Zero-Hour on:
- Camera and Microphone: to record your side of the call.
- Screen & System Audio Recording: to capture the call window. macOS may ask you to quit and reopen the app.
Record your first call
The recorder lives in your menu bar and starts by itself when a call starts in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack, FaceTime and more. Recording captures your own camera and microphone, so tell the other person you're recording. Everything stays on your Mac.
Set up your brand profile
Answer the short brand interview and pick a video style. That's how your shorts get your look, your words and your audience. You can change it later.
Review and approve your shorts
You don't click anything after a call. Keep Zero-Hour open and, right after the call ends, it transcribes it, picks the moments worth posting and renders the best ones into shorts by itself. They wait in the app for you: approving is 1 click per short, and approved shorts go to Buffer. Want more from the same call? Click Find more reels.
Connect publishing
In Setup → Connect Buffer, connect your Buffer account and pick the channels your shorts are scheduled to. Approved shorts are queued from there.
